Event Photographer London

The people. The atmosphere. The reason everyone came together.

I work in a reportage, fly-on-the-wall

style - moving through the room, getting to know its rhythm and documenting the relationships, reactions and atmosphere that make being there feel different from simply seeing what happened.

Corporate & Business Events
Company celebrations, internal events, receptions, away days and staff gatherings.

Conferences & Networking
Speakers, delegates, breakout sessions, sponsors and everything happening between the formal programme.

Awards & Galas
Presentations, winners, reactions, entertainment and atmosphere.

Christmas Parties & Celebrations
The people behind the company once everyone is away from their desks.

Launches, PR & Brand Events
Natural interaction alongside the coverage your marketing team needs.

Art, Cultural & Private Events
Exhibitions, gallery openings, dinners, receptions and private celebrations.

I photograph events as they actually happen. The conversations, reactions, relationships and energy

that make being there matter.

Reportage-led corporate and private event photography for businesses, organisations

HOW I WORK

Business events are still

about relationships.

Business events are still

about relationships.

Put people who work together under one roof and you begin to see something that isn’t always visible during an ordinary working day.

Colleagues reconnect. Teams celebrate. Conversations happen. You begin to see why people enjoy being part of the business.

That is what I look for.

I work predominantly as a fly on the wall. I don’t interrupt conversations and I don’t manufacture moments. When you need the formal things, like groups, awards, branded backgrounds, speakers, sponsors or particular people, I’ll make sure those are covered too.

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Alex

Hi, I'm Alex

I’m Alex Class, a London-based event photographer and videographer, and I’ve worked professionally as a photographer since 2010.

What has always interested me most isn’t the performance people put on when they know a camera is there. It’s what happens between them when they forget about it.

That is why reportage has always felt natural to me.

Whether I’m working around twenty people at a private dinner or hundreds at a business event, my job is essentially the same: understand why everyone is there, notice what matters and tell the story without becoming the story.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How much does an event photographer cost in London?

My guide pricing for event photography in Greater London is:

Up to 2 hours — £550

Up to 4 hours — £825

Up to 8 hours — £1,500

This includes the photography, professional editing, travel within Greater London, your private online gallery and standard event-related commercial usage.

Larger events, additional photographers, videography, premium dates, UK-wide travel and international assignments are quoted according to the brief.

2. How quickly will we receive the gallery?

Your full edited gallery is normally delivered within 3 days of the event through a private online gallery.

If your marketing or communications team needs material sooner, let me know when we plan the event and I can build that into the brief.

3. Can we receive photographs during the event for PR or social media?

Yes.

If agreed in advance, I can provide approximately 10–20 selected highlights on the same day or the following morning for social media, PR, press or internal communications.

This is particularly useful for conferences, launches, awards, Christmas parties and events where your team wants to communicate while the event is still current.

4. Can our company use the photographs commercially?

Yes. Standard event coverage includes usage relating directly to the event, including:

your company website

social media

PR

internal communications

reports

event-related marketing

If the work is going to form part of a larger advertising campaign, substantial brand campaign or be licensed to third parties, we can agree the appropriate licence separately.

5. Are you insured?

Yes.

I carry £5 million Public Liability insurance and work with professional equipment suitable for corporate and private events.

I can provide insurance documentation if your venue, production company or procurement team requires it.

6. Do you photograph conferences and awards?

Yes.

I photograph conferences, awards ceremonies, networking events, business gatherings, presentations and formal programmes.

My approach is predominantly reportage-led, so alongside speakers, awards and the key moments your brief requires, I am also looking for the conversations, reactions and relationships happening around them.

When formal groups, branded backgrounds, sponsors or particular people need to be covered, those become part of the brief too.

7. Do you photograph corporate Christmas parties?

Absolutely.

Christmas parties are actually a good example of the kind of event I enjoy documenting. Once people are away from the normal working environment, you begin to see the personalities, friendships and relationships behind the business.

I work unobtrusively and let the event happen rather than constantly stopping people or manufacturing moments.

November and December can become busy, so earlier booking is recommended, although short-notice London enquiries are always welcome subject to availability.

8. Can you provide photography and videography?

Yes.

Photography is my main event service, but I also work professionally in videography and video editing.

If you need both photography and moving content, the coverage can be planned around one brief. This might include event highlights, social content, interviews or a more complete event film depending on what your team needs.

Videography is quoted separately according to the brief.

9. Do you work outside London?

Yes.

My main area is Central London and Greater London, but I also work throughout the UK and internationally.

Greater London travel is included within my standard event rates. UK-wide and international work is quoted according to location, travel and the requirements of the event.

10. Can you provide additional photographers?

Yes.

For larger events, simultaneous activities or events where one photographer cannot realistically cover everything required, additional photography coverage can be arranged.

We will establish that when we discuss the schedule and build the brief, so the number of photographers reflects what the event actually needs.

11. Do you photograph private events?

Yes.

Alongside corporate and business events, I photograph private celebrations, dinners, receptions, gallery events, cultural events and other gatherings.

The approach remains the same: understand why people are together, notice what is happening between them and document the event without taking it over.

12. How do we book?

Start by sending me the essentials:

event date

venue or location

approximate timings

type of event

photography or photography + videography

anything particularly important for your team to have covered

From there, we will have a short conversation so I can understand the event properly — the people involved, the purpose of the gathering, the branding or sponsors that matter and what your team needs afterwards.

I can then confirm availability and give you a clear quote based on the actual brief rather than making you fit into a generic package.
